Take it back 2004 when you thought everything you knew was just out to get you. Did you ever think? Did you ever think about where you'd be right now? 23 with no purpose of direction, you hated everything about yourself and everyone around you. Remember when you used to wish that you were flawless? But, now you're nothing short of worthless.
But I hope you know what it's like to be alone way past midnight. & I hope you know how it feels to have all the walls crumble around you. Alone again, with nothing to lean against anymore.
For all the times you stood me up and left me out in the cold with no one but my own. I was terrified of change back then, but I finally progressed.

I still get the shakes at night and every single contradicting fact crossed my mind.
But everything we've worked for since you were 19, now you're 23 and you don't give a damn about me.
You're a child, a broken hymn, you're everything that wants to hate you. I tried to retrace all the steps, but you aren't worth anything anymore, no you weren't worth a second anymore.
I still get the shakes at night and every single contradicting fact crossed mind.
I know she fucked up and she's sorry, I know she'll say "Please forgive me." But I put up with too much bullshit to be put through this all again. To be put through this all over again.

So you finally bit up the nerve to tell me that you fell out of love. That you have been feeling this for quite some time, but you can't help but lie to me. Even your own mother knows the truth.
& It hurts to know you're out there, in the freezing cold and you never knew how much I meant to you. Well, I hope you get what's coming to you, you know me well enough to know that I don't hate you, but you're better off alone. And a few years down the road, you'll be swinging at the fences, pissed off by what you've done and how much you knew that you fucked up now.
I'll admit at first that I was hurt, but knowing that facts behind your actions, I couldn't feel any better. My happiness is the greatest revenge that I'll ever be content with, 'Cause I know you'll think about me & miss everything.
